We are a group of friends with roots in Puerto Rico, Chicago, Miami, Italy, and South America. We created Capraia to bring a curated portfolio of wines that speak to Puerto Rico's palate. From the hills of Tuscany to the volcanic slopes of Basilicata — and more to follow.

The flagship single-cru. Aglianico from 50–70 year old vines on volcanic soil at 600m. 12 months barrique + 12 months bottle. The reference bottle of the Vulture.

Single-cru Aglianico aged 18 months in 700L terracotta amphora plus 6 months bottle. Organic. Only 933 bottles per year.

Single-cru DOCG Superiore. Three years of aging. Concentrated, elegant, terroir-driven. 400 bottles per year.

The pinnacle of the estate. 5 years of aging from 70-year-old vines, hand-sorted berry by berry. Praised by Monica Larner (Robert Parker) as a new reference wine for southern Italy. 400 bottles per year.

A serious rosé from a serious red grape. 100% Aglianico, cryomaceration, mineral and savory. Made for the Caribbean climate.
The wine that saved a vineyard. From 1.5 ha of rescued vines belonging to elderly farmers in Elena's village. SCEG means pomegranate in the local Arbëreshë dialect. 7,000 bottles per year.
The everyday expression of Mt Vulture. Fresh, balanced, juicy. Made for by-the-glass programs and casual dining.

Volcanic-soil EVOO from 30–40 year old olive trees, stone-milled, cold-pressed. Intense, peppery, antioxidant-rich. 2,500 bottles per year.

Mount Vulture, Basilicata
Elena Fucci farms a single 6-hectare cru on the volcanic slopes of Mount Vulture in Basilicata. At 600 meters above sea level on 50–70 year old vines, she produces what Monica Larner of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate has called “a new reference wine for southern Italy.”
